Forestry and agriculture are the most important sources of CO2

The deforestation is the second human cause related to the CO2 emission
The cutting of forests for the agricultural development
the burning of trees and
decomposition of trees
  On the other side:
The new forests absorb CO2 from the atmosphere
Trees and forests operate as a shield that prevents excessive solar heat on the earth
The wood of forests with sustainable management can be used in fossil fuel replacement, to preserve the underground carbon reserves
Forests facilitate the survival of ecosystems, ecosystems services and local development
Forests facilitate the survival of river basins, and so the sustainability of surrounding economic activities
Forests are buffer zones for protected areas, or for erosion growth
Forests in general create or preserve "natural capital".
